Help No SD card detected

When i start my phone it says:

No SD card detected!
Application can't run normally.

Though I cant find a problem when I usse the fone..all music is on etc..
Would like to know if this does only my Desire.

Yes I formated the sd card, the first day I got the phone...
As I said there is no problem with the phone really, just woonederd if some one else noticed this.
Guess I'l just w8 for my 16 gb card :)

Ok, I thot u meant a new card. I installed an 8gb class 6 and the speed is way better, but still no prob like u have. Tried taking it out n putting back in?
 
thx for your help.. I belive the speed of the card is the problem as this occurs only when I unlock the phone the moment it was stared...if I wait a bit its ok.
 
I have the same thing, phone displays a message saying no "SD card detected, application cant run normally" but then everything seems to work fine.
 
I have this issue also.. it's becoming more frequent now to the point that I am going to back up today and format.
If this doesn't solve the problem I will return to cpw

Ps there is another thread with this problem try searching for SD card issues - not that there is any solution tho.
 
Card was not being detected, so certain apps stopped working correctly.
(SwiftKeyX could not auto-correct, Dropbox can't open docs, etc)

You can't FORMAT the card, b/c the phone doesn't see it!

So, I just removed the microSD card, and plugged it back in.
No reset or anything needed.

FIXED.

Note, this was NOT the "paper" SIM card under the battery,
but the tiny micro SD card that pops out of the side.
