Root No service after factory reset

I did a factory reset via stock android recovery
now the phone ALWAYS has no service
after searching through the phone I found my MEID, ESN... well EVERYTHING
is zeroed out
I used ##33284# to get into a hidden menu and when trying to click on
of the options the phone said "Radio is off"
Help?
what can I do and how can this have happened from a factory reset?

If it says radio is off, try taking it out of airplane mode.

FIRST thing I thought of too.... however I go to Settings > Wireless & Network settings and Airplane mode is UNchecked

I checked the box and it took a very long time for the little plane icon to appear in the signal area
now the selection for airplane mode is greyed out
Also greyed out in long press power button menu

Edit: Wifi still turns on and sees local APs

Also phone has been added to my account and activated (10$ fee paid 55$ monthly paid as well)

Hmmm, well that was my only suggestion. Sorry but I don't use the stock Android reset . I use CWM and my phone is rooted and always has been. If you were rooted I would be able to help you. Sorry.

Maybe someone who is more familiar with the stock phone/reset can help you out.

You may need to contact Boost and go into the hidden menu and do a master reset.

Try this...... ##your msl here#.

I tried that... currently it is accepting 000000 as my SPC/MSL
I CAN root this phone and install CWM. will I be able to reprogram it then?

Also here are two pics of my issue

Oh and if you notice the sprint logo it is because I bought a boost phone with a cracked screen
and used the sprint phone I bought on ebay (had a bad ESN) for JUST the screen

I have also taken the phone apart again to check for bad connections
and even pulled the antenna from the boost phone for good measure
EVERYTHING is connected properly and works
Wifi works just fine (I believe it uses the same antenna the only reason I switched antennas is I noticed a different version number on the boost phone but the same model

If it was rooted yes you could fix this issue pretty easy. A prl update would get rid of the issues or even a restore could possibly help you but with a non rooted it's not really in ours hands to help. There's the drawbacks to not having full control of your property. Not saying that having a rooted phone is the only way to have a phone but it has it's perks.

Agreed.

I have spent nearly every waking moment trying to root this phone to absolutely no avail KDZ update WILL NOT work I've tried all sorts of timing.. Nothing...
I do have drivers installed
I do have windows enabler ON
I do have admin access (tried first on win7 x64 now using XP Pro x86)
I DON'T understand why I can't make this upgrade work I have been over the "root your updated marquee step by step" guide still unable to get past the downgrade
Please HELP

I don't know about XP, I used Win7 to root mine. The Win7 had to be updated with the newest updates. As for why yours isn't rooting, I really don't know what to tell you that'll help. Sorry. All I can tell you is to follow the instructions step by step.

The only thing that I had to do different is in step 7. The correct settings were not set by default. I had to go in and manually change mine to the correct settings. Make sure that yours are set correctly too.

Yeah I changed it to CDMA Smartphone (WM) as per step 7
I just tried using CDMA Tools "Failed phone does not answer..."
Also tried DFS and can't get anything to happen there either
It does see the COM port

On a side note... All of these apps including KDZ Updater DO NOT
see the phone unless A.) The phone is off or B.) I dial ##PORT# and enter the MSL
000000 and check the box for "Development Mode"
Then and only then do both the LGE Android USB Modem and LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port show up in the device manager
Oh and in stock recovery they appear as well...

Another thing: the battery charges EXTREMELY slow now and drains exceptionally fast...
Could there be something internal not connected correctly I did the screen swap with a sprint marquee that I had flashed over to boost which DID have signal and a boost PRL it would connect to boost mobile service but I didn't get the AAA p/w from my original marquee (which I bricked I bought the sprint phone thinking same network should activate but no - then I bought another boost marquee with a cracked screen and was going to use it as a donor to either get that sprint marquee working or I have an HTC Evo 4G I considered activating using the boost marquee as my donor again... When I read the guide it looked way more complex than I thought it would be
So I found a youtube video of the disassemble when I got the motherboard out I thought it would be that simple... It seemed to be... The phone booted up to the girl who I bought it from's background and lock screen I didn't know her pattern so I did a factory reset and here I am no service radio stuck off no way to turn it on.... If I could JUST do that I'd be in business
Please help me someone
