No sim card error

Hello! I have a Kyocera Hydro ICON. I have had it for about two weeks. It came with a sim card installed. The screen always says either "No Sim Card" or occasionally, "Invalid Sim Card". I called customer service and they are clearly looking up answers on the website, just like I can and already DID! No help at all. :shot:

They sent me a new card and I'm still having the same problem. I wouldn't be so bothered if not for the fact that I bought a 4g phone, paid for a 4g plan, and apparently cant get 4g service without the sim working. I don't know why this is, but it's what Boost told me, and I haven't had 4g since I got the phone.

Any ideas???

Since you just bought it you should be able to exchange it for another Hydro ICON. Have you gone back to the store you bought it from (or emailed/called the online store)?
 
I bought it from a Boost rep at Wal-mart. When I went back, they weren't there, and you can imagine how helpful the 12 year old Wal-Mart employee was. Additionally, this and one other phone (which was not 4g) were the only phones offered there.
 
Would Walmart let you exchange it for a new one? Sounds like it could be defective so I'd think they would let you return it.

Or when you say the Boost rep wasn't there does that also mean the phones were also gone?
 
No, they still sell the phones - this one and a cheaper 3g model. I just feel like it's some kind of settings issue, or carrier issue.
