I bought a Samsung adapter to plug into my aux port in my car. For some reason there is no sound. I went out and bought another adapter thinking that one was defective....no luck.
Anyone else having this issue?

This was specifically a Samsung audio adapter? There are two types of USB-C audio adapter, those with a built-in DAC and amp and those that just pass signals through. Most phones require the first type, so if the second adapter was not one of those that would explain that not working, but the Samsung one ought to be OK.

Did you test with a pair of headphones or a different aux lead, just to be sure that the connection to the car isn't the problem?

Update: I found that using both the Samsung adapter and generic one both worked on my Bose portable speaker. But when I go to use it in my car it doesn't work. Strange.
I drive a 2012 GMC Acadia Denali. At this point I am stumped why the car audio system does not like the adapter.

If it's a 2012, they are probably using hardware at least 4 years old. I have WORLDS of issues with Bluetooth in my 2015 Lexus, which blows my mind.
