Help No talk and surf.

Ok so i upgraded from an alcatel one touch pop to a galaxy core prime. I wanted an s4 or s5 but couldn't afford it. But in any direction. A buddy of mine had one while he was waiting for his s6 to come in and he had talk and surf with his core prime I'm just wondering why mine doesn't have the ability.

Could it have something to do with I had to use the SIM card from the Alcatel one touch? Straight talk said that it should be working and it wasn't so they had me swap out the SIM cards and the old SIM was still active. Sorry for any ramblings.

Unlikely the SIM card is the cause, unless it's really really old. I'd check if the phone supports your carrier's frequencies.

It depends on the service provider. If you use a CDMA service provider, you will not be able to surf and talk at the same time due to the nature of the service. You should be able to do so if you're service provider is GSM though. For the US, the only GSM service providers are AT&T and T-Mobile (this includes those that use these towers to provide service such as Cricket and Metro PCS as well).
