Help No Text Notification LED light

My Samsung Fascinate never lights up when I get a text message, it'll only make a sound/vibrate.

I've gone through all my settings and can't figure it out. I have it so my phone notifies me when my message is received by another person, the screen lights up when that happens, but when the person responds to my text message, the screen stays black and only makes sound/vibrates. It's very annoying!

Anyone know what the problem is? It lights up when I'm receiving a call, too, which makes me think that there must not be a problem with the light.

Sorry to break the news, but the Fascinate doesn't have a notification light for text - Samsung decided not to include one.

You can find software in the market that will add the same function; I'm using NoLED which works pretty well for me.

Are you just trying to get the entire screen to light?

How weird! That seems strange, since it lights up when I'm notified someone received my text, but it doesn't like up when I receive a text. I'll have to check out NoLED. Thanks for letting me know! I had bought the refurb so I wasn't sure if that was the issue or not.

Oh and yes I was hoping the whole screen would light up.
