No update tab in settings??

Hi there, when I go to settings/about device - im sure there should be a "Software update" tab there to enable me to check for updates? However there isn't on my phone. All ive got is "Status" and "Legal Information"

So I have just updated via Kies connected to my PC.

I am on UK Orange and I am running:
Android 4.0.4
Baseband I9300VLF2
Build IMM76D.I9300BVALF4.


Any help appreciated.

I had this same problem, I am with T-mobile and they blocked me from being able to get OTA updates. I read somewhere to flash with stock unbranded firmware and that has done the trick, I can now do OTA updates.

Do a search on the XDA forum. as this is my first post I cant add a link.
