No update to 2.1.. =(

Hi,

I am currently using an x10i, firmware 2.0.2.A.0.24 and rooted. When I try to update via Wifi or SEUS, it keeps telling me that my phone is the latest version.

What I want to know is, is it possible the 2.1 update hasn't reached my area yet? (Montreal, Quebec) or is it possibly because I need to repair my phone, then I can have the 2.1 update?

I am with FIDO

Please help!

it is possible that u may get 2.1 update on repair or this is also possible that it has not reached ur area..!!

I finally understand why SEUS says I have the latest version!
This may help those who are experiencing the same problem when flashing a rom (rooted phone of course) and when trying to update, SEUS just says, "You're phone is in its latest version"

I read somewhere in the XDA forums (darn it, I don't have the link =/) that if you have the Xperia X10a (which I currently have) and you flash it into a rom that is for the model X10i, SEUS will somewhat become confused because it will read your phone as a X10i model when you ACTUALLY have a X10a model. Due to this confusion, SEUS will become unable to update your phone, and will always state that your phone is on its latest version.

So the best way to fix this would be to repair the phone completely via REPAIR option through SEUS, acquire the 2.1 update, then root & flash again to the rom of your choice! Hope this helped out someone!

i'm with Rogers and on 2.1 since November 13th 2010

Thanks so much for the info. I'm having the same trouble and I'm with AT&T. I'm clueless on the subject of flashing or rooting. Can Someone please help me out?

I could but... I won't :)

Not being nasty but click back from this page and scroll up and click on all things root, look around for the flash guide and so on.

Open flash tool without the phone plugged in and realise it is just a program like any other on your pc, honest I feel proud when I press Ctrl-Alt-Del and it really is that easy.

well, you guys with AT&T and fido are lucky lol, you don't have the random reboot yet lol
