Help No video after update

Randolph

Newbie
Ever since the new update my turbo 2 video won't work. When I push the video icon it just takes a picture. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am using a Turbo 2 with 7.0 installed and do not have any video problem with the Camera app.

Did you do a Wipe Cache Partition after the update deleting all temporary data and not touching permanent data, settings, or installed apps? (always recommended after a system update)

If the problem goes away it was caused by contaminated temporary data.

After the Wipe Cache Partition if the problem is still there reload into Safe Mode disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them.

If the problem goes away it was caused by an app that you added.

This thread is viewed by a lot of people around the world. To share information with all of them it would be great to know ...

Did Wipe Cache Partition solve the problem?

(FWIW I do a Wipe Cache Partition every Saturday as part of weekly maintenance.)

If you swipe in from the left there is a menu with a number of options. Are the video options able to be set?

(FWIW I have been using Camera to see if I could get your problem. I normally use Camera JB+)

Yes the options are still there

By any chance, did you change the new Nougat display settings to small or large from the default? If you change it back, does the camera work?

BINGO! But seriously. Never would have thought that would affect the video functionality. Awesome job man. Well done.

I just duplicated it.

Font size is not an issue.
Display size must be set to default for it to work correctly.

Great catch.

Motorola will need to update the camera app so that it is Nougat-ready. Hopefully they know about this so it will happen.
