No video button in camera app ?

Is it really the case that unless in "auto" mode you can't record video with the standard camera app ? As soon as I go into simple or manual modes the video button disappears.

I'd really appreciate anyone that can confirm if its me being stupid or the app.

I didn't believe this until I checked for myself, but you're right. Very strange.

I just tried it with the Panorama mode and can record video no problem
