no visual notification

Just switched from BB to a new S2.
One of the things I am missing immediately is a visual screen notification when a txt, email or whatever has come in.

With just a black screen, there is no visual when for instance you have been away from your desk.

Any suggestions?

That's basically what I am looking for.
I don't have a flashing LED on mine (as I had on the BB)
Is it a setting somewhere?

Otherwise, this thing is pretty awesome.
 
Per the post below I didn't realize the difference in at&t vs Sprint versions of the phone so you may not have the LED. If you have a new text or something, when you hit the power button and see your lock screen you will see a 1 with an envelope in the middle of the screen that you can drag and read the message.

Have fun, I agree it's a pretty awesome phone (I was a longtime Blackberry user prior to this.)

It flashes really slow (like once every 6 or 7 seconds), but it's still there for new notifications. They may have the AT&T version, no flashing light. :(
 
Yes, mine is ATT and there is no LED setting.
(I knew I had to jump ship and go to T but I didn't) :D

I just found and installed NOLED app.
Seems to do exactly what I needed.
