No Volume on the Speakerphone

Hi Guys.....I have a Verizon Galaxy Note 2 and it works great EXCEPT that the volume on the speakerphone seems to be very quiet. Also the call volume is not really that loud. Every other volume on the phone is very loud and good. For example, playing a video from youtube and the volume is loud enough to hear it in another room. I know that it's a setting somewhere, but I have no idea where or what it is. Can anyone help me with this?

Depending on which version of android your phone is running, there is icon on the phone screen, when you are talking to someone, that looks like a speaker. That boosts speaker phone volume. On the latest version of android, there is an icon on the right, just below the picture of whoever you are talking to. It looks like a phone with sound waves coming out of it. That is the speakerphone boost switch. Other than that, the base speakerphone sound is too low. The booster switch does help. Another thing I did was knock out the background noise filter in the settings. It seemed to help somewhat.
