cyde, that's just a familiarity issue. it's not the easiest browser to use. Familiarize yourself with the settings. To close windows, press the hard key menu button on the far left which shows wndows, home, setting, etc icons on the browser screen. All of the open windows will be displayed, just x out the ones you don't want. The free puffin browser version has all the features as the paid as is explained in the app write-up you should read before downloading any app. To exit the browser simply hit the back button till the browser closes. Hope that helps. Also it helps to add the zoom keys to enlarge the text which are found in the settings.
