.nomedia shenanigans

Help! My S3 keeps inserting .nomedia folders in folders i set up for podcasts, which means the music player can't see them. Even if i go into the folders and delete .nomedia, the phone just creates it again as soon as i leave the folder.

Anyone got any ideas for stopping this?

Have you tried using the dedicated podcast directory? /sdcard/podcasts?

What podcast app are you using? Can you change the folder the podcast app looks in and move your podcasts there?

I usually use .nomedia for excluding folders from Gallery applications - never had a problem with podcast and music applications not picking up files within those folders.
