I believe that only a technician from your phone carrier can do this and there's usually a fee unless you have insurance on the phone. Bring it to a corporate store that has a repairshop and they should be able to help you.

I'm not on VZW,but,it looks like you may be able to restore your phone back to KIT-KAT 4.4.4 on your own,using the stock firmware & a utility called ODIN:

I've used this to re-flash factory firmware on my T-Mobile Note4,no problems,but,we're not exactly comparing apples to apples:
1) Your phone is a VZW model (bootloader locked I presume),my phone was a T-Mobile model,rooted/unlocked.
2) I'm not sure if flashing (stock) firmware using ODIN trips the KNOX Counter,which will technically give VZW/Samsung cause to void any existing warranties. If this does not trip the KNOX counter,warranties are intact.
A trip to VZW 1st is in order,as indicated in the previous post.Put the ball in their court & let them do it for you,if possible.
If not,I'd advise on waiting for someone w/VZW experience in these matters to chime in,or,check over at XDA Developers &/or some You-Tube tutorials,specific to VZW if possible.

You need to visit the XDA forum. Reverting from Lollipop back to Kitkat has been going on for a month or more. No root required. I couldn't stand LP, so I reverted back to Kitkat myself with no problems.

Plz tell me why peeps hate LP so much. I, personally, don't find much difference. Of course, I don't do music and videos and that might be the rub.

It doesn't appear to be Lollipop people hate so much as Verizons version of Lollipop, the amount of Verizon users who complain about Lollipop after Verizon has finished messing about with it is quite staggering. I have been running the Samsung version of Lollipop since it was introduced and never had a problem with it. You have to remember that there are many different versions of Lollipop out there, some hardly resembling the official Android version. Phil

It's not just Verizon. There are posters bringing up problems with LP over all carriers, and countries, and not just phones but tablets too. In the US, it's more Verizon simply because there are more users on Verizon.
Personally, I dislike some of the interface changes and so I went back to KK. That was my only reason. Operational wise, LP seemed quite good and fast, but then I didn't keep it on the phone very long before reverting.
1) Changing the color of the quick settings panel from dark(er) teal to light teal decreases contrast with white lettering. For younger people, this may not be a problem, but for older people, lower contrast is a big problem... especially during the day. This is also the reason I don't use the weather app that's available in stock KK. When it's daytime and sunny, I can't even read the lettering because the screen is bright blue with white lettering... not an android fault, just using this as an example of low contrast.
2) The new floating icons. Well, they actually get in the way of my contacts list. I have to scroll my contacts just to read many of the names because that stupid floating icon is in the way. Absolutely nothing was wrong with KK's "+" at the top of the screen for adding contacts. Totally asinine change in LP in my opinion. What the heck got improved with these floating icons?
3) They changed the phone dialer. Why? What was wrong with the way it was. To me it looks less eye appealing being just one big blank square with numbers and letters on it. White is already too bright, and having the black sectional lines (KK) does help some.
4) Google (again) attempts to make it more difficult for you to get to settings. In KK, the settings menu is available even when in the search screen launched by OK Google. All you have to do is hit the back button so the keyboard disappears and you'll see those three dots to get to the menu. It's no longer there in LP, so you have to go to the app drawer and open Google Settings or the Internet app so you can access the settings menu.
5) They moved/changed stuff like Smooth Motion video, Blocking mode, and a few others that I can't remember. Why? I have no clue. Yes, the options are still there, but there was nothing wrong the way it was in KK. Why make me dig around in more sub menus when they were already readily accessible where they were. You don't fix something that doesn't need fixing!
6) What's up with the screen animations? Do people actually like to see this humpy-lumpy animation that tells them they reached the end of the page? Do they actually need this notification? I personally, along with many people I know, disable all animations in Dev options! Luckily, in KK, when you reach the end of the page, the page just... uhhh.... stops scrolling!

I still maintain that the reason there are so many complaints about the Verizon version of Lollipop is because Verizon mess about with it more than any other carrier, if you were able to see the original Android Lollipop as loaded onto Nexus phones and the Verizon version side by side you would see that the Verizon version bears very little resemblance to the original. And I don't assume that people with problems are imagining it, they are very real problems, but I would love to know why someone with a particular version of the OS doesn't have problems, and someone else does, they can both have the same phones and the exactly the same OS, seems strange to me. Anyway we can all have fun again come the Autumn (Fall) when they release Android M, as it is entitled at the moment. Phil

It's NOT just Verizon, but it's fine what you think and maintain. If the subject were Windows vs Mac, there are more complaints about Windows for the same reasons I stated there are for Verizon LP. You're right though, I've never seen what's run on Nexus phones, so I don't have a reference for your LP. Then again, there are reasons I didn't choose a Nexus and even went with a VZW N4, versus one from ATT, T-Mobile, or Sprint. By the way, I haven't seen many people complain about the stuff that bothers me in LP... most complaints are due to actual OS problems/hardware affected... not aesthetics like it is in my case.
In any case, I'll stay on KK until my phone dies unless "M" will allow some customization that lacks in LP... or, better yet, until root comes for the Verizon N4 (which may be never, unfortunately).

The Samsung Verizon Lollipop is VERY far behind what the rest of the world gets from Samsung.
Verizon is a third of the US, and the top Samsungs weren't the biggest selling models on it last I checked.
Verizon is in no way the Windows of the cell phone universe.
Anyway, luckily you can escape what Verizon did to Samsung Lollipop without being rooted.

I don't know if it's "VERY" far behind. I know the changes may be "different" than other carriers, but there are also others that have also changed their interface leaving out what used to be there. Not just Verizon.
Why do you misconstrue what I was trying to say. I KNOW "Verizon isn't the Windows of the cell phone universe". It was to illustrate that more people are on Verizon than on, say Sprint, or T-Mobile, and therefore you're going to get more complaints from Verizon users. If you didn't understand my point, well...

The majority of complaints coming from Verizon because there are more Verizon users - that's simply not borne out by the numbers.
The majority of complaints do come from Verizon though, but Verizon users are about 1/5 of the population here.

My two cents (and my observed issues in order of my personal annoyance):
1. Bluetooth connectivity was terrible. I stream music from my phone in the car. With KitKat there were zero glitches (before and after my downgrade). With LP there was not a song without a disconnect/reconnect gap or less often audio glitching similar to CD read problems.
2. The phone was clearly faster after booting, but this didn't last long. The known memory leak problem would eventually burn through the phones memory and cause apps that were rock solid before to crash. After a half day the phone would hang up for several seconds before responding to commands.
3. I hated the lock screen changes: Either I could see the owner info / weather / step count or I could see the new message summary, but not both. As a result I turned off the message list. This was a problem because I quite often use the icons at the top left of the lock screen to tell what type of messages I had waiting, but in LP the top left just shows the carrier. Since I know the name of my carrier, this is a damn annoying and useless change.
4. I turn off the message LED at night. Although the option still exists in LP, it doesn't work.
Also, as someone else pointed out by inference, there were no changes to be seen. It looked identical to KitKat. But, there are supposed to be cool new features in LP. Where is the multi user functionality? Where is the guest mode? Where is the ability to pin an app before handing the phone to a friend/child? Sigh.
Perhaps, I could have fixed some of the above with a factory reset, but 2. is a known problem (which seems to be fixed in 5.1, which may come to my phone around Christmas) and 3. would still have been an issue, so I decided to invest the time to roll back instead.
BTW: I have a phone from my carrier, but I have a cool carrier that supply unlocked unbranded phones. So I have the SM-N910F international version.
