Noob ~ Hello!

[Beckea]

Hello my name is Becky.
Married with three kids.
I have tested out tablets but have not been happy so far. I am looking for a tablet to get the weather, email, ereader for both kindle, BN, Borders. Also one that I can add more memory to. I want it to be open format of course and user-friendly.

Anyway, going to school right now, a momma and sahm.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

At the moment I don't think there are any available Android tablets that allow you to increase memory. You can install various size micro SD cards in many of them but the memory chips are typically soldered to the tablets system boards.

I was testing one out and you could "pop in" a memory card for portable storage. That is what I would like. The one I was testing was a cool one but it just did not appeal to me.

The "memory card" you refer to is a micro SD card. It's basically a removable disk drive. That said, it's fairly standard on this type of device so you should have no trouble finding a tablet that has one...
