Noob here: Just got my new SG4GLTE....Now what?

I bought a HTC Evo 4G at launch over 3 years ago and I have to admit I'm still an Android n00b. For anyone that can provide some answers to some general questions, it would be greatly appreciated:

1. What major differences can I expect? I turned it on for the first time and everything looked similar but different. I've been using LauncherPro on my Evo for the last two years, so do I want to go back to that? I certainly liked the customization options better than HTC Sense.

2. Speaking of going back... getting my apps and data. My research has led me to the conclusion that I need to download MyBackupPro to migrate all my apps and data. Is this the best way? I don't mind dropping the $5 for the app if it's really that simple.

3. Google+ I don't use it. My phone automatically synced itself to a Google+ account when I first logged in my Google account. How do I keep that off and away forever? Do I need to root?

Anyway, thanks in advance for answering what might seem like silly questions.

Its android, its still gonna function like an android.

Nifty new things to enjoy are the LED flashlight (widget) and awesome battery life. 4g if your area has it.

Ti backup is the go-to backup app.

+ should be in accounts on the settings menu, unlink the account.

Rooting will allow you to do things like delete Google+entirely, but it's totally possible to get a great experience without ever rooting (though backups do require you root.).

I say enjoy the solid phone. If you find something you want to do that requires root, then do it. Otherwise just carry on.
