Noob here

[alfick3]

I haven't purchased an Android phone yet; am contemplating a purchase of the LG Optimus M from MetroPCS. I'm new to Android, the whole smart phone concept and so on. It's funny, I'm highly intelligent about computers (even repair RISC based servers, running AIX, for IBM) but am a complete noob on Android and what it can do.

I live in the DFW area of Texas; I spent 17 years on active duty in the US Navy; now I work for IBM.

Sounds like getting a droid smartphone would really be someting easy and fun for you to mess around with. Already having a good technical background you should get the hang of it really fast it's really all just as simple as copy/paste, drag/drop files and folders to specific locations to make things happen
