hello there, i just have installed plants vs zombies and i also own nova, this problem is about your gpu not supporting opengl es 2.0, thought there is a way to make your gpu support it with a software called chainfire 3d.you'll need plugins and other things to make different games work.this is a post that i posted to that website i downloaded plants & zombies from.sorry i don't have much time to edit it.and for nova :

nova step 1:
Note : You need to root your phone before doing any of these, follow step 1 of plants vs zombies fix guide to root your galaxy ace.
Install qualcomm plugin (you can also download other plugins as you may need them in the future for other applicaptions) : Type "qualcomm chainfire plugin" to google and click to first link.i can't paste link directly due to new member link limitation.
Also follow the instructions in that forum to install the plugin.
Nova step 2:
Go to chainfire3d>opengl default settings>use a plugin
select qualcomm and enjoy playing nova!
If you experience performance issues with nova, you can check the 'reduce texture quality' in opengl default settings.however, you shouldn't use 'reduce texture size' unless anyone recommends it.it messes up all messages in most games so you can't read or see buttons.chainfire itself optimizes performance and i could run nova on galaxy y s5360 without any problems so you'll be fine without reduce texture size.have fun!
Note : Nova might crash at loading a few times, theres like 15% chance for that just keep trying and you'll get it runing
.thats actually depends on your nova client, cracked ones mostly crash at startup.
Plants vs zombies white background fix works on any phone.
Skip step 1 if your phone is rooten, skip step 2 and 3 if you already own chainfire 3d
step 1_) root your phone :
Samsung galaxy ace s5830i (don't use it for ace s5830, its only for ace 5830i) : Type "how to root samsung galaxy ace s5830i zip" to google and click the second (xda-developers link).i can't post any links due to new member limitation.
Step 2_) download chainfire 3d : Type "chainfire 3d appmarket" to google and click to first link.
Step 3_) open chainfire 3d, click on cf3d driver (install / upgrade / uninstall cf3d driver)
during installation your phone might reboot, do not force boot your phone in anyway, it takes 5 minutes so be patient.chainfire 3d is an opengl driver allowing opengl es 1.0 - 1.1 users to use opengl es 2.0 applicaptions, also increases performance.
Step 4_) after installations been completed, open chainfire 3d, go to default opengl settings and tick 'reduce texture quality'
step 5_) open plants & zombies and enjoy!
