Root Noob Question - clarification

Recently Rooted tbolt with Revolutionary - Today.. but have been reading/learning for a few weeks.

With all of the different combinations of kernals, ROM's, Mods, Patches, Radios etc. How do you know which of these will work together.. it seems, from this noob, there are hundreds of ways to brick a phone.

Looking for a bit more of the System docs vs the detailed docs.. If there is a thread or forum i'm missing, send it my way..

Any help or clarification would be great.

If you had GB on your phone then you should be fine with the current radio. Otherwise I suggest flashing the OTA radio
