Help noob question

Did you mean link URLs within a page? Or did you mean that you navigated to a page and want to copy/paste the URL in the browser bar?

The latter is simply a long press and then press cut/copy.
 
Simple, long press and hold on an URL and click on the fourth icon of the top menu which appears on the stock browser. Each browser, though, have different ways of doing this. On Dolphin HD a pop up menu with different choices appears.

To paste, again, press and hold and select "Paste".
