Root Noob Root Questions

They'll be fine.

I've never used that option, but I assume that it probably has to do more with restoring market links if you used the unlink from market option to stop update notices.

Long story short, my old Droid X died, I bought an Iphone, realized my mistake and traded it immediately for a LG Spectrum, rooted it with androidforums.com/spectrum-all-things-root/637556-root-lg-spectrum-ics-ota.html, got setcup and set to conservative, froze bloatware, and fell victim to bootloop when some verizon prompt rebooted at work. Verizon made good on the phone due to the circumstances that it would not factory reset and I had a really nice worker helping me.

Now that I have a new cleaner phone that is essentially stock, I wish to root it easily/one click as I'm still a beginner. All I really want to do is change the default font, speed things up a bit, conserve battery life as much as possible, get free wifi hotspot via my data plan as I'm still unlimited, and be able to unroot just as easily/one click in case I need to deal with Verizon with warranty situations.

I really have no desire to change the home screen, the way it runs (whatever ICS everyone seems to be interested in is not of any concern to me), boot screens, lock screens, or anything else. I just want to make sure I can get a complete root and unroot process and not the partials or missing parts people seem to be getting. I will need a specific list of what to do, how to do it, and where to find everything (just keep it stupid simple please). Also, I'm new to this and this is my first post/reply, I don't know if you can email me or if I have to just check back here later, if someone can fill me it I would really appreciate it!

Thank you in advance for anyone who reads this and for those who can help me!

My advice?

Blow it away. Use the 1 click root/flash CWM with the pwnage tool.

Flash whatever you want on it.

If you need to return to stock for a warranty, Cab flash it. You'll essentially have a phone restored to as if you just pulled it out of the box.

Try not to laugh at me while reading this, but where do I find such a thing? After that how do i do it (in dumb blonde directions if possible) and what is/how do you flash things?? I just wonder if ther is any way to keep my general stock settings/personalization just essentially "unlock" it to gain some features and have the ability to "lock" it back to stock and keep my stock settings/personalization ect while only losing the root and "unlock" features? I hope that makes sense, I'm sorry I can't describe with the correct terminology...
