Noob sighting

Hey all I am a complete noob so my questions will be many and stupid. Bare with me I do a lot of computer stuff so I get the basics to a degree. I dual boot Ubuntu on my Windows 7 Dell D830 I will be glad to take all jokes, but remember you were a noobie once to.
