Bought a Galaxy S II (AT&T) last week. Love it. Kicks the crap outta my wife's iPhone. Now she wants one too! LMAO
First thing people said when they saw it was, "I want one too!"
Next was, "Root it!"
After that was, "Get a task killer."
Of course, I can't help anyone get one except to say that Radio Shack has 'em for $99.00 as a qualified upgrade. It was a mere fluke that I found that deal.
Rooting the phone is something I knew nothing about so I did some digging and realize that there is probably no value to it for me except that I could use a good firewall and most of them seem to need a rooted system.
And after reading about task killers, I've gotten a new education to supplant my old PC/Mac education on resource usage and clock cycles. Won't bet getting one any time soon.
I did find the Android version of AVG anti-virus which has a task killer built into it so I think I'm pretty well set for the time being but I don't feel that I have a need for it.
Battery life seems to be a minor issue but there seems to be plenty of info here to fix that "problem." Still, the phone is lasting the whole day so I'm not going to kill myself to figure that out.
My first smart phone. I'm pleased.
