NOOK App for Android Question

Hi all,

My wife wants a NOOK for her birthday. However, I like to get her an android tablet instead. I tried using the NOOK App. However, I have a lot of epub books I want to move over to the application. I don't see a way of doing that. Library is blank and all. Is there a way of doing this? Do I have to use a specific directory?

The last time I used that app, you couldn't import your own epub books. However, you can use the Aldiko app and it will import epub books. I honestly like Aldiko better anyway, it has more settings to adjust brightness, backround/text colors, etc.

Why not a Nook Color then? It's easy to get it to dual-boot so you can run CM7 if you like. Then you could use any Android ebook reader apps you want.

To read ePub files with the Android Nook app, put the ePub file in this directory on the SD card:

/sdcard/Nook/MyDocuments

Get a tab. That way she's not limited to just Nook. I find using Booklending.com through Kindle is FANTASTIC. Aldiko is a great way to get self published short stories you wouldn't find elsewhere. The possibilities are far less limited with a tab running apps.

I have a Nook, and purposely bought it over the Nook Color because I wanted e-ink and not backlit LCD. Don't regret it at all, it is so easy to read in the sun outside, where an LCD can be tricky to read. Any book you buy from the B&N store over your Nook will be able to be downloaded to your phones app too, and vice versa.
