Root nook tablet 1.4.3 root help

i have a nook tablet i bought off clist and the owner which will not return my calls never unregisterred it . i did a factory reset an learned how to open it without registering it but i cant do much with it . im not super tech advanced but im not a ****** . i need someone to help me step by step to root this thing so i can get the android market . thanks for your time an i hope someone will help me out

I've used both of these in the past.

[ROM] Stock 1.4.0 & 1.4.2 + Root + Mods - GO Launcher [Yes/No B&N|Rebloat Pack] - xda-developers - more stable but with more quirks

[ROM] CM7 8GB &16GB Compatible Beta for the Nook Tablet.., Updated 7th July to Beta - xda-developers - some stability issues but a purer Android experience.

If you can get into the nook you should be able to hit the n to bring up settings, in settings go to device info. You should be able to deregister it there. Good luck.

There's some pretty complicated ways of doing it, there is a Long but thourogh how to on XDA, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2037368 Hope it gets you going.

I believe you can. while nook is off hold power and N buttons down and that will bring up the factory reset/degister. I believe that is the way I did mine.

I cant remember right off hand but try it.
