Not a fan

1st off I would like to say this is my first big tablet (10.1.)

I just got my ICS TF201 a few days ago and I got to say I am not very impressed. The navigation on this thing isn't smooth at all..full of glitches among other things. All of these issues might be able to be addressed if I get a little help from you guys.

Prime problems:
-Occasional youtube glitch ( makes me unable to do text searches and have to do voice command. Then the youtube vid *****es out and makes the Prime restart.
-Frequent Google+ glitch (when minimized it crashes)
- Faulty GPS (Google sky maps directions are completely wrong as well.)
- Emulators performances lacking (for a quad core tablet I expected it to run smooth.
-splash top Remote desktop cumbersome( auto feature doesn't work so I have to manually put in the constantly changing IP address [dhcp].)
- When the tablet is plugged in and on it still drains the battery (at a slower rate.
- takes forever to charge
- general buffering problems on youtube
- Laggy video playback

Now I expected a lot more of this tablet ...I think I hyped my self up for t too much. If anyone could address any of these issues that would be splendid. I also have a rooted gingerbread Kindle Fire with go laucher ex which I am much happier with the results.

Lastly... can it connect to a bluetooth ps3 controller unwired?

Some of these I can answer for you. Will need some more information on a couple of points

This is down to the youtube app being sketchy with ICS at the moment. Using through a browser is more stable at the moment.

Dont use Google plus so cant help with this one.

- Faulty GPS (Google sky maps directions are completely wrong as well.)

The GPS isn't great... the latest firmware might help a bit if you haven't got it already.

OR try a tether GPS app with your phone to use your phones GPS as your primes.

What emulators are you using? Im using gameboid, GBCOID and FPSE and all are working fine for me. (will be installing N64oid soon so can test that too)

-splash top Remote desktop cumbersome( auto feature doesn't work so I have to manually put in the constantly changing IP address [dhcp].)

Getting splashtop set up int he next few days so can comment on it then.

- When the tablet is plugged in and on it still drains the battery (at a slower rate.

I havent seen this at all. what are you doing when sharging? and are you plugged into the dock when doing this.

- takes forever to charge

Mine charges in a few hours and im happy with it. How long exactly is yours taking?

- general buffering problems on youtube

Have only seen buffering issues when im too far from a router and the signel gets patchy (general wifi issue thats been reported a lot). hoping to fix this with a wifi access point im going to add onto my network at home in my room (my room has god awfull wifi anyway) for

Sounds like you're using not fully compatible apps on the Prime. Also, charging is slower when youre connected via USB to a laptop/computer compared to the wall charger.

The Transformer and TF Prime both require higher levels of current for charging. You have to use the wall charger that came with the transformer. It will not charge from most phone charger bricks, or from most older USB computers.

Thanks for the tips guys but I decided to return it. It just wasn't worth 600 bucks IMO. I have a rooted Kindle fire which does quite a few of the same things the TF201 did.
I'll probably get a PSVita or.... any other suggestions?
