tells me that my device does not have the correct applications to play the video. What apps do I need and where can I get them?

geez man, give us something! lol what type of file?

i use movies that i converted to iPod a while back - .mp4 (h.263 or h.264 can't remember)

there are a number of video converting programs for free out there.

well I have downloaded some movies from bit torrent sites. Theta tyre only ones that wont play. When I click download....a message comes up and says that my phone cant open the file...continue download? I downloaded some torrent sites from the market but im dumb and cant configure them correctly.

Download mvideoplayer from Market

Download Handbrake on your computer.

Download movie to computer.

Convert to mp4 with Handbrake.

Put on Eris.

Handbrake ftw.

There are ways to download youtube videos too, google "download youtube videos". I did this when I first got the phone for about 24 music videos.

You don't need a video player, "Albums" -> All Videos -> is essentially the video player.

weihl, those instructions are like in greek to me. I have converted a couple of movies via Handbrake and then downloaded to my phone but I haven't been able to play them with the stock video player (like textstv suggests). Do i need to dl a special video player from the market to play them, such as mvideoplayer like Smacky said?
