Help Not able to properly seal my phone

shodoc

Newbie
I recently purchased Samsung S4 Active and I noticed that there is no middle pin located inside the back cover of the phone. Shouldn't this pin on the back cover be inserted into the notch present between the SD card and SIM card to properly seal the phone from water damage?

As a matter of fact, page 9 of the owner’s manual states under INSTALLING BACK COVER::

“3) to avoid water damage, ensure that the back cover is completely closed by pressing just below the flash until you hear a click".

- I do not get that click as there is no middle pin on my battery cover.

Can s4 active owners comment if you have the middle pin and do you get a 'click' when pressing below the flash at the ATT logo? , thx

I have a very small pin below the flash. Or.. It's not really a pin, but there is a small line.
However, I usually don't hear a click when I press on the middle of the back. I believe that whether or not you hear a click, depends on how you put on the cover. As long as there are no gaps along the side of the cover, it should be safe to have it in water.

And just to clarify it, the click is only supposed to come once, when you put on the cover. After it is properly fitted, you will not hear a click when pressing below the flash.
