Not able to start Android Emulator!

Version of Android Studio:0.2.4 OS version:Windows 8 Java JRE/JDK version:1.7

When ever i start emulator installed with Android Studio latest version, it does not start. Instead I get error logged in Windows event manager. I'm using windows 8, Pentium dual core system with 2 GB RAM. Windows Event log:

Anyone is having a solution, please help.!

There's apparently a few reasons why this can happen:

1. selected device/screen resolution

2. amount of RAM you are specifying when running the emulator
