Not enough space issue

Hello,
On my GF's phone, it always says not enough space" although she has all of her intern space free, and her sd card is still 50% free.
It always says that when she wants to download an app, or update one ...
But she has plenty of space..

A simple and quick thing you can try is shut the device down and remove the battery for a minute(if possible) and then put the battery back in and re-boot.This had helped me in the past when some apps or something has locked in the system.

HTH :)

Uninstall or at least backdate every app you don't use, especially the built-in Google ones like Maps. I have about twenty apps that live on my update list that I just ignore.

Download the app DiskUsage and it will give you a pictorial display of the space used and which folders are the largest. This might give you a good idea of whether there are some hidden items taking up unregistered space - it will show up as a grey area.

That is freaking awesome!

It's just like WinDirStat which I love having for Windows but for Android.
(For all versions of windows and free- WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics )

Thanks for posting this little gem.

You're welcome.

Hah I love WinDirStat too. It's such a brilliantly simple tool. And I was well pleased when I found this app on Android. It seems so obvious to have storage represented visually by area. Literally at-a-glance.
