Not Getting Gmail Notifications

I've stopped getting Gmail notifications. Did Google change something?

It's getting to be a pain to login to the Gmail main page to check my mail.

It's weird-I've always gotten notices when I got new mail.

Yes I have it, but it's not on a schedule.

The Gmail page looks different then it did a month ago. My name and settings are in a different drop down format.

Something has changed...and I'm not sure how to get this back to the way it was. It's really odd.
 
I haven't used the Gmail app for a while now. Not sure how to help you with troubleshooting that. Have you tried K9 mail? That's what I use instead of the gmail app.
