Help Not receiving any texts

Ok so I don't know what happened to my optimus sider but I'm not receiving any texts. Everything else seems to be working fine. I can call and receive calls, and I can send texts too but I can't receive any texts. I tried doing a hard reset but I'm still not receiving texts. Anyone know how this can be fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're with Virgin Mobile, log into your account and check your settings. Look under the Phone, Apps & More tab, then click Edit Message Settings. Make sure the box to Disable Incoming Text Messages is unchecked.

I'm with Virgin, and I'm not receiving texts from a friend who has Sprint. I am getting texts from people on other carriers, tho. Anyone have ideas as to why??
