Not receiving longer GV texts on my DX

This has caused a number of problems for me this week...

I am receiving short texts fine but I've just found out that for at least the last week, longer texts are not received at all. Again, short texts go through but longer ones aren't received. Used to be that if a message was longer that 160 characters GV would automatically break it up into multiple messages but apparently now it isn't delivering them at all. A friend of mine helped me check this out and we reproduced the error (of not receiving longer texts at all) over and over.

Please, please help me troubleshoot this. As I said, it's caused a lot of relational issues this week because people keep thinking I'm not responding to important texts...but in truth I just never received them.

That issue is being reported at Google Support forums, varaonaid. It has not been reported yet as resolved, but it does appear to be a Google Voice issue, not one with your device (or the towers, etc).

In the mean time, I'd be sure to make the problem known to all who send long texts, and ask them to break them up into -160 character messages until further notice.

Thanks so much for letting me know this. I had been over there and looked through the forums, searched and even posted for help when I didn't find the answers so I'm just grateful to know it isn't my device or the senders' device(s) and that Google is aware and working on it. Again, thanks for taking the time to post. I really appreciate it.
