Help Not receiving my gmail :/

I don't know why, but I haven't been automatically receiving my gmail messages for a little over a month now. I have my gmail set up on my Proclaim and my old Precedent (through wifi, the phone isn't activated) and my Precedent still receives my gmail messages fine. Also, I DO receive the messages on my Proclaim IF I click refresh. I don't know if it's not receiving messages because I pressed a button or what, although I usually don't tinker with the gmail settings. Please help if you can. All suggestions are good suggestions.

Make sure background sync and automatic sync are enabled in your settings -> accounts.

Then check that sync for Mail hasn't been accidentally unchecked.

For some reason, the same happened to my wife's phone.

I don't know how, but the automatic sync thing turned off on my phone. I just tapped it back on and haven't had a problem since. Thanks DarkJedi!
