not receiving text

i am unable to receive a text from one friend... i get everyone elses. i sent her a text which she got but i didn't get the one she sent back. she told me she's sent several text and i've gotten none of them. anyone have any idea what's up. i turned the phone off, reset, updated, took the battery out and still don't get her text.

Is she using imessage on an iphone? That only works with other iphones. If so she needs to sms you.
