Not receiving Yahoo e-mails since Oct. 30

CZSteve

Newbie
Any have any idea or what else to look at regarding why I'm not receiving any e-mails on my Yahoo account since last Tuesday Oct. 30?

I've deleted and re-added my Yahoo on the phone and it loaded all the previous e-mails up until Oct. 30th but nothing since then and I have rec'd many e-mails since.
Obviously I have the account & password info corrrect or the previous e-mails.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve, i am moving this thread to the Android Applications forum as this is pertaining to an app.

Hope this helps, and i hope you find your answer!

Did you check Yahoo on the computer? If your emails are on the computer, at least you will have some idea of where to start looking.

Yes, receiving e-mails fine via computer.
Password had not changed and when I re-loaded Yahoo on my phone I sync'd fine with messages up until the 30th - strange.

I am using 1.4.6 (latest version) on my galaxy tab 7 plus and 1.3.10 (last version with no ads) on my LG phone. My yahoo mail has been syncing fine on both devices.

Try selecting desktop mode on the browser on the phone and see if you get messages. (I can see mobile/desktop on Boat. Then select Mobile. It's at the bottom of the page) If your messages show up there, then it's something with Yahoo Mail Mobile and your phone.

Does Yahoo, the phone, whoever have a limit on how many messages you can download and store on the phone? I only access Yahoo mail through the browser so I don't know. I have another email service that will grab Yahoo emails.

It sounds like a Yahoo thing. Yahoo does pull some funnies every now and then. If you are using the free service, you can only download and print one message at a time. You need to buy the premium service to download all mail to computer file at once. I don't know what clearing the cache on Yahoo mail on the phone would do to whatever is in the account.

You can try a mail service that will get Yahoo mails via IMAP. I've seen a couple. GMX will fetch the emails from Yahoo. GMX has its own mobile, but it works really well with Aquamail.

Complaints about something Yahoo did will show up on another forum that I read. Haven't seen anything like this lately.

I didn't think about that - I bet i've gone over my limit. Used to have the premium pay service but didn't renew and only have the free service right now and do need to clean out a lot of e-mails.
I'll check this weekend when I have time.
