Help Not recieving messages.

I have a droid fascinate. & i am not receiving messages. This has happened before, and i have checked for updates, and then once my phone updates, i get messages again. I just checked for updates, and it says im up to date. and i tried sending a message and it said the network wasn't responding, but if i go into settings-about phone-system updates- it says "Status- service unavailable" i'm not sure what that means. I do have service. And i'm able to get on facebook through the phone without my wifi. And people say they are trying to send me messages, but won't go through. Please help me! Thank you!

Try switching phone to GSM only.


If you can send/recieve calls and SMS this might indicate no data avialable in the location where you are.

Have you reached your text message storage limit on the phone? Try deleting some old messages to see if that helps.
