Not recieving texts

My friend has a Droid and so do I. But sometimes we don't get each others messages. It used to happen only every once in awhile but now it happens sometimes more than once a day. Can we fix this?
 
It sounds more like you're not where you have a signal (or he is) or a carrier problem.

Unless you're out of storage space.
