Not registered on the network

Please somebody show me how to fix this problem.
I cannot make any calls with my Galaxy S, I get the message 'not registered on the network'. I tried searching for other available networks but cannot connect to them. I tried the phone with another simcard and it works perfectly.
I tried the original simcard in another phone (a galaxy s2) and there I have the same problem. So it must be the simcard. What should I do?

Who is your carrier. And just get a new sims card . carriers such as T-Mobile ,metro PCs and also at&t has new Sims cards. So if you have a old one it may been fried .

Whoever your carrier is, contact them or head into a shop and get a new SIM if yours isn't working. If it's faulty and your phone is working otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue.

And when you go take the phone and old sims card so they can do a transfer of contacts to the new one
