My wife and I both have the LG Motion (which we LOVE btw) I honestly had planned on having this phone until it crapped out like I have all my other phones(my last phone I had for like 8 years). Unfortunately with the tmobile/metro merger I don't have that choice when they shut down CDMA.
Right now we're looking at getting the Kyocera Hyrdo Life. It looks like a damn good phone for the price range it's in.
My question is this, as far as money goes do we jump on this phone while it's on sale for $50? Or do we take the gamble and wait for it to get closer to the CDMA shutdown and see what kind of deals that metro/tmobile throws out?
Part of me hates the idea of losing out on this phone and getting stuck with some crappy phone for the same price range but at the same time I wonder if they'll actually drop some "awesomely epic" deals, as I've heard other people put it, right near the end to try and get people to switch over.
All advice/opinions will be appreciated as long as you're not a dick about it.
Another thing my wife mentioned that I forgot to is that another reason we're hesitant to wait is in case Metro fades away like Nextel did when they merged with Sprint. Because you heard all the same song/dance you are now with tmobile/metro. "Oh, we're just merging networks/companies. Nothing will "really" change that much." Then when people started switching over they had to pay sprints prices and the people that held their ground got grandfathered in and got to keep their plans. So we're hoping that IF we get the Hyrdo Life NOW and keep our plans that if Metro does get put on the back burner we can more than likely get grandfathered in with our current plan. Thanks again for any help!
