My HTC Wildfire S sometimes doesn't type. The Keyboard comes up, and I press the buttons, and it reacts, but no letters or numbers come up, meaning typing in the password is really difficult. Sometimes it helps if I just press the power button, then turn it back on. But most of the time it requires a restart or for me to turn it off, then back on again. Sometimes one works, and sometimes the other works. I haven't seen any other enquiries about this, from what I've seen. Has anyone got this problem, and know how to fix it permanently? Thanks!

I found this thread that has a few suggestions that might help:

http://androidforums.com/htc-wildfire-s/492638-my-htc-wildfire-s-wont-let-me-type-please-help.html

If the touchscreen works, then hopefully it's not a hardware issue with the digitizer and the suggestions in the above thread will help.

Cheers and best of luck!

:)

edit: here's another thread discussing this, too:
