of course, bro! heads up to sammobile, register freely, put into device search box your device (N8000 etc.), and click on 4.4.2 fw link with country you want. download it, then search this forum or easily go to androidbiits and use odin to flash. good luck, PM me if you have a question :)

If i put the English version of 4.4.2 on my Note and not the Australian version..what issues will i have?? should i just root it?

Kies won't update in Australia if there's no update to be had

I just find it very disappointing that it is taking Samsung so long to roll out KitKat
Worldwide when it is now in the wind that Lollipop is just around the corner. Does this indicate there is something terribly wrong with KitKat.

I still haven't received KitKat for my S4 mini or my N8020 but my wife has it for her S4 mini. Very strange.

Apart from that I find Kies absolutely useless. Opens on installation then won't open a second time.

just use odin to update. download right firmware for the device... e.g. im using gt-n8000 (nordic, unkocked) and there is no ota for our region. i downloaded german fw (unlocked) for n8000 (basicly the same fw), attached my phone to a laptop, opened odin and pressed "start". it is so easy, even easier than installing Kies and trying to get your phone to work with it.

So you're saying you installed the German version of KitKat for your tablet on your Nordic phone?

Yes. I have N8000 (region NEE) which is the phone version of note10.1. (N8000 = 3G/GSM version, can make normal phonecalls.) And there is a german firmware for N8000 (region DBU), which i used.
