Help Note 2 boot loop problem

I have been facing problems with my galaxy note 2 for a while and I don’t know whether it is a battery issue or any internal circuitry defect.

I was playing games in my mobile and suddenly it stopped and restarts automatically and stuck at the Samsung logo. I thought that it may be happening due to the very low percentage of the battery and put it on for charging. After some time when it was completely charged (100%) I took it off and just started doing Facebook. After using it for 5 to 10 minutes the same thing happened and again, it stuck at the Samsung logo screen (boot loop). I took the battery, SIM card, memory out, reinserted everything but still stuck on boot loop. When I plugged in the charger it showed the battery percentage came down from 100 to 1 within 5 minutes and its completed charging within 15 minutes of using the charger. Then I noticed if I plugged in the charger it would switch on and work fine. But the most surprising fact is that after charging it to 100% if I took off the charger and do nothing (not using any apps like FB, YouTube, any game, voice or video call) it would stay awake just using its battery power for much more time (2 days) even turning wifi, sync on.It can update all of its internal/3rd party software, FB notifications, download email, whatsup messages, videos just using its battery power which seems normal to me.

I googled it any find that may be happening due to any faulty battery. My battery has swollen and it may be causing this issue but my question is only replacing the battery will solve the problem or I need to take it to any service centre?

Note: My mobile is not in the warranty period.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The only way you find out is to get a new battery. I had a similar issue with a swollen battery and bootloops. I bought a new battery and it's been fine since.
