Help Note 3 gets stuck in speech recognition mode.

I use Google Speech Recognition to dictate my text messages. Recently, the speech rec box (the one with the microphone in the middle) does not go away when I click on its X in order to switch to keyboard entry mode.

...and that pop-up box does not go away until I restart my phone. It's on Home Screen or any screen.

How can I fix this? It is very annoying.
