Help Note 3 on AT&T not updating

Thanks in advance for any help here. My Galaxy Note 3 is not unlocked and is on the AT&T network. It is running android 4.3 and will not update from AT&T. When I do the "check for software updates" I get the message that "Current Software is up to date" You may check again in so and so amount of time it. Which is a 5 hour countdown timer.

Android 4.3? It's actually some old. It should be at least V5.0 or higher.
You may try to get contact with customer service of AT&T. Good luck to you.

I had to take my phone into Best Buy @ the Samsung desk for them to force the upgrade.

Maybe a bad sim card that won't let it update,I've had that problem before.
You might check that.

i have the same problem with my note 3 sm-n900a mine is stuck on 4.4.2 it`s an at&t branded phone but it`s unlocked so i can use my norwegian carrier.
