The very unfortunate part that I found is that on the same Asus Router of which I have the signal reception does not go very far. Not sure why but if I go into the next room I barely get a signal while on my HTC ONE I get a pretty good signal. The signal on my Note 3 barely holds and cuts off at times from the room next door. In the same room though the numbers are outstanding

I too sometimes get reports from speedtest of blazing speeds but the phone does not preform for me like the numbers would suggest. not saying its not fast but the performance does not appear to me to be in like with what i would suspect with the wifi numbers.

I have a fairly recent router (mainly serving a wired-through-the-mains-power "Powerline" network). I'm getting perfectly respectable wifi speeds on the phone including in the yard.
