Help Note 4 Brightness Bug

So I recently upgraded to a Note 4. I've always used auto brightness, and of course enabled it right away. Since then I've been noticing that the brightness reverts to 50% (turning auto off in the process) a few minutes after auto is enabled. This is infuriating.

I am perfectly capable of disabling auto and setting the brightness myself, but I would prefer to refrain from that until it's the only option.

I figure it's a software thing. Does anybody have any insight??

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I am on my 2nd Note 4, and so far, the Auto Brightness seems to work as it should.

have you loaded any apps on it yet? anything that might be unusual?
have not side loaded anything where you have to turn off "unknown sources" ??

I've loaded plenty of apps, but they're all standard. I've just begun to set up my profiles and such. Nothing I haven't done on my last phone.
