NOTE 4 Cases

Does anyone know if the Spigen, iBlason, Caseology, or Seidio cases might have a clip holster that they'll work with? I've looked at each of their websites and couldn't locate any. Although, the Seidio website's Note 4 page under development. I've used a Seidio case and holster combination with my GS3 for two years and like them quite a bit. TIA.

Hi, I took a few quick pictures of my Spigen Tough Armor case in case anyone was thinking of it... I also ordered the Slim Armor that I have not gotten yet. Sorry for the mediocre quality... I had limited light available and was using my LG G3 camera.

I like it - but wondering how much slimmer the Slim Armor is because according to the specs, it's only 1mm slimmer. I might try the Neo Hybrid, but I do like the protection. The kick stand isn't bad but not sure how much I will use it.

I have the slim armor case. I just got it today. I love how it makes my phone feel. I was thinking of getting the tough armor case as well.

I am going to wait for Seidio. I have used them for my GS3 also.

If you would, please let us know what you think of both. I'm looking at both of those and would love to see a review of each and how they work together. TIA

I just got my Spigen case yesterday.

I have a few thoughts about it. First off, it's a very nice case. Nice grip and feel to it, the aluminum satin silver trim around it is really nice also.

However, after using my phone for a week naked, I can't get used to it being bigger, even with a slim case like the Neo Hybrid. I took it off and went naked again. Maybe I'll order a slimmer case. Does Spigen offer any?

Now, the iMagnet mount. I also have mixed reviews about it. First, I put the small metal disk between the phone and Spigen case. It held onto the iMagnet but it wasn't very strong at all. I think it would work a lot better with a thinner case. Then, I put the small metal disk behind my phones back. It had a good connection to the iMagnet mount, but I wasn't happy with it like that. Eventually, I just put one of the adhesive plates right on the backing of my phone and the connection is great. Very solid and does take some effort onto remove it. Now, I just have to find a good spot to mount it in my Jeep Wrangler.

I'm considering one of these, how do you feel the quality of it is? i'm not into the leather wallet ones, nor the cheaply made thin plastic cases. i was first considering a otterbox, but i wasn't too crazy about the colors this time around. so the Spigen looks right.

just purchased the Spigen electric red tough armor case. now i'm going to sit patiently and wait til it comes...

judging by the pics of this case and the ACTUAL pics a member on here posted of his gunmetal one, i would assume it seems to be a good quality item.

I'm with you. According to their website, the Convert, Dilex, and Surface all have clip holsters. I looked up what they look like with the Note 3 and each is pretty good.

I purchase a cheapo case with clip holster just to be sure I have some thing to protect my phone when it comes in. Looking forward to Seidio getting their products available soon.

I think the quality feels well made. The hard backing, though, is quite smooth though and I sometimes feel like it's going to slip out of my hands. I think it feels like on the level of an Otterbox "commuter" series of cases but I think in that case the Otterbox commuter series is maybe a little more protective. Still, I think it looks pretty good and gives a lot of protection for the size.

I also received the Slim Armor case as well. I like the sleekness of this case but even though it says that it also has the same drop shock protection - it doesn't feel as protective. The smoothness of the edges since they are rounded is nice - but I felt sometimes even more so that it may slip out of my hands. It doesn't have the extra thickness on the back that the Tough Armor has (which you can see where the Tough Armor has the extra hard ridge that makes the back stick out more) - but the size of both cases is really close - almost negligible.

I've decided that maybe I'll use the Slim Armor during work days and the Tough Armor during weekends. HAHA

I wouldn't mind trying a case that isn't completely smooth on the back. Maybe something with a little bit of texture to create a better grip.

Good luck! I think you'll like the Tough Armor case. :)

Ps. The stand is plastic and feels a little flimsy but it works and is securely tightly when collapsed into the case.

I have been using this case for almost a week now and i must say at first it felt bulky, and Yes thats coming from someone with a Note 4. Also its hard to use the Hear Rate monitor but it does work, just needs a little playing around with. In all I got use to the size of the case and now don't even notice it. Its got an awesome design, the Protection i want and is in my budget. Cost only $17 USD which is not bad at all. The case also features a kickstand which I think I already broke... its still works though. You can watch my review on it below if you like.

I'm using the Slim Spigen armor, as it comes in Shimmer White, is your micro usb cable when plugged into the phone kinda wobbly? (move it up down left and right?)

hopefully your right with it being good, i ordered a red one... hopefully it gets here quicker then november 5th..

Guessing you don't have your Note 4 yet or you would have also answered the question I asked about being able to wiggle your charging plug when it is in the phone? :smokingsomb:

wiggle my charging plug out ? no hasn't happened.... i've had the phone since last week friday when it was released, the plug is always secure when plugged in.

I ordered this two days ago... now I'm kind of concerned about it if you're saying the kickstand broke that easy and it felt extra bulky.

Oh well it's cheap enough that it's worth a try I suppose.

I got the slim armor case and really like it. The kick stand is awesome! I was concerned about the tough armor being too thick. I'm sure both will perform well if dropped.

Now having both the Tough Armor and Slim Armor on my N4, I think I prefer the Tough Armor more. There is slightly more bulk in terms of thickness, but I find the the hard edge on the sides and the ridge that sticks out on the pack gives me better traction when holding onto the phone. I will still alternate between the two as I like them both, though.

The kick stand is real flimsy. I never use them anyway, so not a deal breaker for me. The case is not that bulky. I would compare the thickness to the Ottorbox Commuter that I had/have on my S4. I also have an i-bason case on the way, will compare and see which I like better.

I have the slim armor but not sure if it will protect it as good as the tough armor. How thick is the phone with the tough armor, vs the slim armor (since you have both). I don't mind adding a little more bulk if it truly will protect the phone much better.

Did anyone else get the Spigen Neo? Nobody on the other end of a call can hear me when I have it on my phone, I think it is blocking the microphone:(

Looking closely at the bottom it appears the holes for the microphones are not in the right place.

The case is shy of doubling the Note 4's thickness. There is another case but it doesn't have the Kick stand. Also from Spigen.

The N4 is near comical big enough IMO without adding even more bigness. I got one of the folding cases from VZW with my corporate discount. It protects some, but not at the scale as the big ones in this thread.

The back cover comes off with the folding case and uses the case as the back. This keeps the total form factor slim. Better than the N4 naked at least :)

To be honest, the sizes are almost identical. It's thicker ever so slightly - less than 1mm. Same for wideness. The only reason why it may feel thicker is because of the hard edges, but I find that the hard edges on the Tough Armor make it easier to hold. In the pictures below, the phone on the left is the Tough Armor and the one of the right is the Slim Armor case.

As far as whether or not it gives more protection... I'm not entirely sure. According to their site, they both have that drop protection in the corners. It feels that it will sustain a drop better but the size being almost identical makes me think that it would be the same or similar. To me, it does feel more protective than the Slim Armor.
