Help Note 4 or Galaxy S6?

Hi. First time posting here, and apologies right off the bad for the long post :)

I have never been married to an OS. Was an iPhone user, then got the HTC OneX when it came out. Hated it. Went to iPhone again and then came back for Samsung Galaxy 3. It wasn't bad at all. Had a lot of fun with it but took a new role in my company with iPhone specific apps and switched back. Anyways I'm now using a loaner iPhone 5 that's dying and I think the company is heading to full android adoption. I still have all my apps in google play so no issue switching back but I'm trying to decide between the note 4 and the s6.

I've read up a lot about both. I know the s6 is the newest flagship and has a few features I like - specifically the double tap for camera and I'm a bit more used to the form factor, but I really like the bigger battery in the note and the larger typing surface and expandable memory. It's really hard by reading reviews which to decide on since they aren't being written for exactly me. I don't want any of the options the s6 has to deter me from the note (like the camera double tap) since I'm most likely assuming that as updates to lollipop for note 4 become available they will make this an option.

TL:DR: I'm most likely switching back to android. If you have an s6 or note 4, why did you choose it and do you prefer one over the other and for which reasons?

Thank you in advance!

Note 4 because I prefer a larger screen, that's pretty much it for me lol.
If you're using it for business the s-pen could be useful?
Oh yeah the sd card..... And the big battery (aparently the s6 battery life sucks balls)
.... I'll think of more and get back to you lol....
(I own neither btw nor would I choose a Samsung)

I have a Note 3 and S6. Both are great. Both have good battery life. The S6 battery is really good. The Note 3 will last 10 to 16 hours depending on use.

I did not upgrade to the Note 4 because I use data when on phone conversations. The Note 4 can't do both at the same time.

I like the Note for the large screen and the pen. I've used LG and HTC phones the last 6 months and the Note 3 out preforms them all.

It's your call. What do you want in a phone?

Thanks for the replies so far. Greatly appreciated! Like I mentioned I'm not looking to be sold a particular device but really hoping to get real-life feedback from people vs the online reviews and this has been great!

Here are my dilemmas with the two:

Note 4 - Love the size for functionality and have read all good things about the battery, but my concerns are around features I have now seen with the S6/Edge that it doesn't have (double-tap camera, better fingerprint unlock, better processor speed, etc.)

Samsung s6 - basically everything I mentioned for the note, but concerned about the battery life and that if I go for it I'll quickly miss the convenience of the bigger screen lol.

I know with the processors the S6 beats the note, but for my use (email, text, bbm/whatsapp, browsing, calls, very light gaming and mostly mind-challenging games like 2048 or the elevate app, light video use for the kids), I'm assuming I won't notice much of a difference. Same with battery life - my s3 wasn't great, but looking at the specs both batteries are larger than the s3 and the new DDR4 ram in the s6 is less memory-consuming. Right now my iPhone 5 loaner device needs to bec charged 2x/day with the use mentioned above, and it is still around 20% when I plug in overnight so I'm assuming anything will be better than that.

Also for first poster - I'm focused on Samsung because that seems to be the device group our company focuses on (was originally Blackberry, iPhone, Samsung, then just iPhone/Samsung, and now apparently just Samsung lol).

Also - mods - thanks for moving this to the right section. This forum is massive lol and I had no idea where this fit so I figured "questions" made sense. Seeing there's a "device comparisons" section is great. I'll be lurking through there off and on today lol.

Note 4 without a doubt.

Spen is mightier than the sword.
Well played ;)

Just looked at both at the Telus store near me. Think I'll be going the Note 4 route. It does everything I need and then some, and the pen/screen size is a huge point for me. Fits well in my front pocket as well.

Thank you. Much appreciated. Will let you know if it goes through. Like I mentioned I am an iPhone user and was a previous android user with my old S3, but with the new iPhone prices and the extra abilities of Android I believe our company is going towards it 100% so I'm expecting a choice of Samsungs over a new iphone. Once I confirm I'll be sure to send you a msg!

So I pulled the trigger today and got a Note 4. I'm already in love. has all of the android integration I remember from my S3, but in a beautiful piece of electronics. My wife just got an iPhone 6, and I think she's going to be jealous when I come home with this :)
